Salmanders gives hope for new treatment of Parkinson's
Salamanders have the ability to self-heal. If they lose an arm or a tail, it grows out again. The most spectacular thing is that they can heal their brain after severe damage, by reshaping their nerve cells. Malin Parmar, professor at Lund University, wants to understand the process and find new treatments for among others Parkinson's and Huntington's disease.
